Battle for the Bay 09
Puremagic held their 3rd Annual Battle for the Bay on 30th and 31st of May. Once again they put on an epic show and it was bigger than any kitesurfing event held in Ireland. Agin sadly we had classic Battle for the Bay weather with not so much wind but beautiul sun shine. The beach saw thousands of spectators over the weekend and it was a really good showing of what kitesurfing lifestyle is all about. There was just enough wind for a race which didnt go so well for me as i could have done with a bigger kite and a surfboard but still had a bit of fun poping a few tricks in the gusts. The race was won by my Flexifoil team mates Ryan Coote for the men and Jennifer Kinnear for the ladies. Hopefully we’ll get the wind for freestyle at the next one!
