Come one come all. We are organising Sligo’s biggest kite comp to date on Rosses Point Beach on the 3rd and 4th of October. So come join us and check out the top kitesurfers in Ireland battle it out for round 3 of the Irish Kitesurfing Championships. Massive party after the beach in ‘The Moon’, which is above Tobergal Lane Cafe in Sligo town on the Saturday 3rd, doors open at 10pm. Pre Drinks for early comers on the evening of Friday 2nd in Harrys Bar rosses point. See you there!

Got a wee video done yesterday with Peter ‘De Nac’ Martin at Lissadel. Wind was crap, up and down, and mostly down. The water was nice and flat and still had enough juice at times to fire off few moves. Starting to get front mobes a bit now so well happy!

Heading to achill in a few days for a few days. Just gonna chill and hopefully ride if the wind is up. Havent been out in a long time and i’m looking forward to get wet again. Not too stressed over competing but i’ll probably enter it anyway. Mostly just on for a lone road trip to reflect a bit on life and try sort my head out. Have been doing a good bit of work on the van to pimp it for road trips, so looking forward to getting out there! Need some wind and then sorted!

After a day of lessons at the weekend i grabbed the 9m Wainman Smoke as it was pumped up and went out in the increasing wind. With the kite fully depowered i was still getting dragged towards the water but was grand once i had the board on my feet. Went of my first jump and sent it hard and pulled in the bar and just went up and up and up and started to get really worried that i would actually die if i freefell from this height. I did one more jump more or less the same height. Anyway my students that day got the ending of the second jump on his iphone and stuck it on you tube! I did 2 jumps and came as i was about to soil myself in fear. Went out on the 6.5m then and had a decent sole session.

I’m rockin a new C2 FTM wetsuit from my new sponsor Prolimit! The thing is great and i’m amazed at how dry i am inside even after an hour on the water… maybe i’m not falling enough?
